Shipping policy

This is our Shipping Policy for Retail Orders from our online shop. If you are a trade customer, please contact us on hello@eccentricspirits.com / 01239 872 300 for more information about shipping for trade customers.

***From time to time we may offer shipping at different/reduced rates as promotional opportunities for our customers. Where this is the case, the remainder of this Shipping Policy applies save that some of the shipping rates stated may be reduced or removed for a short period of time. Customers will be advised of these temporary changes through our social media channels & email marketing***

All orders are normally processed within 1-3 business days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

When you place your order, you will be asked to provide an email address or mobile number that we can use to update you about your order.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email or text message (depending on whether you have provided an email address or mobile number), with details of your order.

You will receive another notification (by email or text) when your order has shipped.

There may be times when we are unable to process your order within these time frames. If this is the case, we will endeavour to keep you updated. You can always call us on 01239 872300 if you have a query about your order.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout, depending on the value of your order. 

Within the UK, we offer the following shipping rates:

Orders under £40 - £5.30

Orders £40 and over - Free

Free Shipping

We offer free shipping on orders valued at £40 and over and within the mainland UK posting area.

Pick Up from In The Welsh Wind Distillery

If you live locally to In The Welsh Wind Distillery or are passing and would like to collect an order you have made online, we are happy to prepare your order and make it ready for you. There is no shipping charge connected with pick up from the distillery.

If you would like to pick up your order from the distillery, please tick the ‘Pick Up’ option at the checkout.

Once you have placed your order and it is ready to be collected, we will send you an email/text with pick up instructions included.

You can collect your order anytime between 9-5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Please bring your order confirmation with you when coming to collect.

Please call the distillery on 01239 872300 and we will do our best to accommodate any specific requests relating to pick up.

We will keep orders that have been paid for online, and indicated as ‘pick up’, for 2 weeks. If you will collect after the 2 week period, please call 01239 872300 to make special arrangements.

If you come to pick up your order more than 2 weeks after the order was placed and paid for, we cannot guarantee the items you have ordered will still be in stock unless we have made a special arrangement with you.

Please bring your order confirmation with you when you collect.

International Shipping

Please contact us if you would like us to ship internationally.

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. In the Welsh Wind Distillery Limited t/a Eccentric Spirit Co is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive a notification from us (by email or text depending on whether you provided and email address or a mobile number at the start of the checkout process).

If you haven’t received your order within X days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@eccentricspirits.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We can only offer a replacement or refund if your goods arrive damaged, if they do not arrive with you at all, or if the wrong goods arrive with you. We ask you to notify us of any problems within specific time limits, set out in our Returns/Refunds policy, which also explains how we will rectify any issues.

We are fully compliant with the Distance Selling Regulations – details are also included in our Returns/Refunds policy.
