Warming, spicy, and sweet - our Black Batch Hot Buttered Rum is the perfect cocktail choice for the cosy winter evenings that lie ahead.
The spices found in the following recipe perfectly complement our Black Batch Rum's notes of orange, cinnamon and cloves. The butter and brown sugar offer rich depth and sweetness, whilst also balancing each spice, resulting in a well-rounded, comforting serve that can be enjoyed all winter.
*The recipe below uses a double measure of rum, but if you prefer a single measure, just add 25ml of rum instead!
Recipe:
- Black Batch Spiced Rum - 50ml
- Ground cinnamon - ½ tsp
- Ground nutmeg - a pinch
- Ground cloves - a pinch
- Unsalted butter (softened) - 1 tbsp
- Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
- Boiling water to top
- Cinnamon stick to serve
Method:
- Combine the butter, sugar and spices in a mug
- Pour in the rum and mix
- Top with boiling water and stir
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick
